Accreditation
Fitzpatrick Insulation & Passive Fire Protection are part of the IFC Certification scheme, an independent UKAS accredited provider of high-quality customer focused third party certification in support of fire safety, designed to provide confidence that fire protection products and systems are installed correctly to good standards of workmanship and within the scope of approval for the specified product.
Correct installation of fire protection products is vital if they are to perform as intended and provide the specified fire performance.
Incorrect installation can lead to non-performance, premature failure, loss of insurance cover and potential loss of life, property, stock and business interruption.
To be effective in preventing or controlling the spread of fire, or for protection of structural elements from the effects of fire, these products need to be installed properly within their approved field of application. Failure to do so can compromise fire performance with consequences for property, life safety and commercial risk.
Our installer certification scheme, together with our product certification, provides a robust system that gives confidence to specifiers, contractors, enforcement authorities, regulators, and end users that proven products, together with good installation, will achieve the required level of fire performance.
Fitzpatrick Insulation & Passive Fire Protection are fully compliant with BCAR requirements. Under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 (BCAR), Fipfp assign a certifier to inspect and certify the building or works during and upon completion.
In addition, our document management system traces the installation from start to finish, recording all of the information electronically. This provides our clients with the confidence of a fully transparent system, knowing that the work has been carried out in accordance with all current regulations, and is fully traceable.
Training
Fitzpatrick Insulation & Passive Fire Protection have completed The Institution Of Fire Engineers Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection designed to recognise underpinning knowledge and understanding related to fire science and human behaviour that affects the requirements for passive fire protection along with specialist technical understanding of passive fire protection measures, understanding of the breadth of factors that affect effective passive fire protection measures, underpinning knowledge of the range of active fire protection systems and how these systems align with passive fire protection measures.
Fitzpatrick Insulation & Passive Fire Protection have completed advanced passive fire protection training with International Fire Consultants covering Fire Stopping, Cavity Barriers and Fire Doors.
Fitzpatrick Insulation & Passive Fire Protection have completed Passive Fire Protection training through the Rockwool Firepro education programme.
